The Kirk and Byrd Show
Da Last Word (DLW) podcast with host, Rusty Byrd, welcomes the Potomac Shores Middle School (PSMS) Basketball Varsity Boys Head Coach, Marlon Marshall, and his brother JV Head Coach, Mark Marshall, to discuss the school's historic run of going 100-0 since the school opened in 2021. In five seasons, the varsity and junior varsity programs have both gone 50-0 to claim supremacy in Prince William County School Middle School basketball.

In this episode, Rusty and the Marshall brothers, discuss this amazing fifth season for the PSMS program and what it meant not only for this year's players, but also for alumni players of the basketball program. We also get into how the teams are selected, practice, and developed for the next level of either PSMS varsity or high school basketball after the 8th grade.

In addition to talking about this season, we learn how the program got its start and how each season the players and coaches worked hard to not be the first team to lose a game. We discuss the coaches background as former athletes and their experience in coaching youth and high school sports. We also find out about Coach Marlon and Coach Mark's hobbies; favorite movies/tv shows; and much, much more. You do not want to miss this episode!
